For healthcare professionals
Perimenopause is notoriously difficult to assess from a single appointment. Ember gives patients a structured, private daily record - and a way to bring that history to you as a clean, organised report.
Clinical context
Perimenopause symptoms are variable, cumulative, and often invisible in a single appointment. Hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, anxiety, and physical discomfort can shift significantly day to day - making it difficult for patients to accurately recall what they've experienced across the past month, and even harder for clinicians to build a clear picture from a brief conversation.
Most patients arrive at menopause consultations with a rough sense of how they've been feeling and little else. Ember changes that. Patients who use Ember arrive with months of structured daily history - patterns, severity trends, sleep correlations, and cycle context - all captured in 60 to 90 seconds a day.

Doctor Export
Ember Premium includes a Doctor Export feature that compiles a patient's history into a clean, printable PDF report.
The export is patient-controlled. They choose the date range, which symptoms to include, and whether to add their notes. The resulting PDF is clearly structured, professionally formatted, and designed to be useful in a clinical context without requiring the clinician to learn or interact with any app or software.
A typical Ember Doctor Export for a 3-month period includes: a summary of average daily scores across all tracked dimensions, adherence across the selected range, symptom frequency separated from moderate or severe burden, pattern observations like the relationship between poor sleep and next-day energy, cycle-linked symptom clustering, and any notes the patient has chosen to include.

Patient privacy
Ember is built with patient privacy as a structural principle, not a policy statement. All wellness data is stored locally on the patient's device by default. Ember does not transmit health data to any server unless the patient explicitly enables optional cloud backup. There is no account required to use the app. Ember does not use advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking tools.
As a clinician recommending Ember, you can be confident that you are directing your patients to a product that handles their most personal health information with appropriate care.
Health data never leaves the device unless the patient chooses backup.
Patient health data is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
The doctor export is entirely opt-in and patient-initiated.
Ember is a patient-held personal wellness journal, not a clinical decision support tool or regulated medical device. It does not integrate with EHR systems. Doctor Export content is entirely patient-controlled and self-reported.
Recommendation
Ember requires no integration with your clinic's systems. Patients download it directly from the App Store or Google Play. The simplest way to recommend it is a brief mention: "There is an app called Ember that helps women track perimenopause symptoms daily. If you use it for a few months and enable the Doctor Export, it can give us a much clearer picture at your next appointment."
A private daily app for tracking perimenopause symptoms. Available free on iPhone and Android. Ask your patient to enable Doctor Export before their next appointment.
